Alexander polynomial of spatial graph





报告摘要:Alexander polynomial has been one of the most important tools in the development of knot theory since its discovery 100 years ago.  For spatial graphs, Bao and the speaker defined an analogous invariant.  In many aspects, the Alexander polynomial of spatial graphs shares similar topological properties with the classical one for knots; but it also contains certain unique graph theoretical information, such as, its evaluation at t=1 gives the number of spanning trees of the graph.  This talk aims to give a general introduction to this invariant.   

报告者简介:吴忠涛副教授,主要从事低维拓扑,纽结理论及空间图领域的研究。2000 年获得第 41 届国际数学奥林匹克金牌。2005 年获得麻省理工学院数学学士学位;2010 年获得普林斯顿大学数学系博士学位; 2010-2013 年获得西蒙斯博士后奖学金。
